Objectives: contribute to improve living conditions for poor households in Cao Bằng and Bắc Kạn to match with governmental strategies of poverty reduction and economic development (CPRGS).
Ø Project "KTLIP"
Poverty alleviation project for the Central part of VN in Kontum province
Duration: 2005 - 2007
Budget: US$770,000
Intervention area: Kontum province
Partners: CBC (capacity building central);department of planning and investment, provincial professional agencies and people's associations of Kontum province
Objectives: : support government in poverty reduction in Central provinces through ensuring food security for households, improving income, make local development plans, strengthening institution and effective project management. Within that framework, Gret together with its partner - CBC (Vietnamese NGO) is responsible for supporting provincial partners to implement components of community development and institution building in 4 districts of Kon Tum province (37 communes).

Institution-building with local associations to improve organization and management of collective services
Duration: 5 years (2001-2005) and we are asking for an extension of 8 months for recapitulation – the project is expected to end in June 6 - 2006

Description of project: Project Dercom II gathers some activities implemented by 5 international organizations in different aspects: agricultural development and husbandry, community health, hygiene and non-concentrated electrification. Major reason to gather all these proposals is the desire of all actors who proposed trials, analysis and comparison of social management types of collective services in rural context.

Description of project: Vietnam’s extesion agencies are encountering difficulties as a creative household economy emerges. Collines project establishes a new methodology system to help dynamics of farmers through a special method: organizing production, education and investment. Rehabilitating breeding rice, repairing irrigation infrastructure, improving pig’s quality, cultivating upland fields, fishery and growing fruit trees are main intervention contents of the project.

Description of project: Project PAOPA, funded by foundation for development (FAC), aims at promoting experiences and achievements from Red river program in the last 10 years in research and extension fields. Therefore, main activities of project mostly involve synthesis of experiences, publication of scientific articles and methodology tools, scientific seminars and especially education of extension officials to disseminate methodologies which were developed. Organization of producers plays key role among intervention topics.
